Sarah loves people, loves Scripture, and loves the world of ideas. She grew up in upstate New York, but it was not until Wellesley College that she understood the gospel message and found authentic Christian community. Following college, Sarah continued to pursue an integrated spiritual, intellectual, and relational life through her local church, the CS Lewis Fellows program, and Precept Inductive Bible Studies. While raising her four children, she served as the Director of Admissions for Ambleside School, mentored younger women, and led parenting classes.
She knows first-hand that sorrow and suffering are a part of life in this world and that pain tests our faith, hope, and love. Passionate to help others find practical hope and healing in Scripture, Sarah pursued training through the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) and gained a Master of Arts in Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary. Sarah is an excellent listener, asks good probing questions, and is committed to growing alongside those she counsels.
Sarah and her husband Mike have called Northern VA home for twenty-five years and are feeling both the weight and the freedom of empty nesting by enjoying time to travel, exploring the outdoors, and taking fitness classes together.
