Alex formerly served as the assistant director of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation’s (CCEF) School of Biblical Counseling and has worked for over a decade in corporate America. He comes to Heart Song with a diverse collection of ministry experience including church planting, small groups, and youth and college-age ministry. Alex has also been published in the Journal of Biblical Counseling.
He’s had the great privilege of walking with individuals through an array of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, sexual issues, conflict, grief, and more.
Alex earned his Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and his B.S. in Practical Theology from Southeastern University.
Alex is one of those rare native Floridians and lives in the Orlando, FL area with his wife of 12 years, Ariel, their beloved daughter, Adelaide, and their dog, Elphie. He enjoys reading and writing about the intersection of theology, psychology, and culture; laughing with his wife; walks with his family when the humidity and mosquitos are in check; and playing Super Smash Brothers with his five-year-old.
