Headshot for Alex

Alex Schuh

Alex was born in Honduras, but has called many places home, thanks to her father’s military service, which took her across the United States and overseas. While she grew up in a Christian household, it was during her college years that she truly experienced the transformative power of the Gospel and its impact on everyday life. It was also during this time that she discovered her passion for understanding God’s word and encouraging fellow women.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in International Studies, Alex moved to the Washington, D.C. area to work with International Justice Mission (IJM) and became a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Driven by a desire to better care and serve others, she pursued a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Now, Alex is honored to walk alongside women and teens who are navigating life’s challenges, offering gospel-centered counseling in areas such as anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, grief and loss, and OCD, among others. She strives to create a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

Alex, along with her husband, Nathan, is currently raising their family in Atlanta, Georgia. When she is not counseling, she enjoys immersing herself in a good book, exploring new cultures through travel, delving into history, finding a good coffee shop or restaurant, or simply enjoying quality time with family and friends. At this time, Alex is only available for virtual counseling sessions, allowing for flexibility and accessibility.
